Custom ear plugs last around five years, and that is only because your ear canals gradually change shape over time — an older impression no longer matches the current canal, so the seal is compromised.
High-level customised hearing protection
Good communication on the work floor is often a challenge in environments with high noise levels. With the new generation RC, Elacin brings its customized hearing protection to an even higher level. Its optimal attenuation greatly improves speech intelligibility and makes warning signals even more apparent. Employees are therefore extremely motivated to wear Elacin RC hearing protectors during a working day without interruption.
What can you expect of Elacin RC?
When do you need an Elacin RC hearing protector?
The new RC generation is custom-made from medically classified soft silicone material offering the user optimum wearing comfort. An easy to apply cord with shirt clip is included.
Six colours, one price. Clear, transparent green, red, blue, yellow and black all cost the same — pick your colour on the form we email you after you order, so you are not paying extra for a colour choice.
The Elacin RC range can be delivered with different moulds tailored for a variety of situations.
There are four filters to choose from, all independently tested to AS/NZS 1270:2002. The certified SLC80 and class for each one is set out below — use it to match the filter to the noise level you work in.
Every custom earplug is moulded from impressions of your own ear canals. Choose the option that suits you — the price changes accordingly, so you only pay for what you need.
• I can supply my own in ear impressions — you already have impressions, or you will arrange them yourself. Post them to us and we will take care of the rest.
• Include Audiology Appointment ( Australia Wide ) — we arrange and pay for an appointment with an audiologist near you. The full cost of that appointment is included in the price, anywhere in Australia, with no location surcharge and nothing further to pay for the fitting. Complete the booking form you receive by email and we will organise a time that suits you.
• Include On-site Impressions ( Perth, WA only ) — we come to you and take the impressions on site.
• Once your order is complete ( production takes around 2 weeks ) we will send your earplugs to the address on your order.

We do not take ear impressions for children under 16. We refer them to a paediatric audiologist, who takes the impressions and sends them to us — we then make the earplugs as normal. Email admin@hearsafeaustralia.com.au and we will help you arrange it.
Once we have your ear impressions for this order, we can make you a second pair with no further appointment and no extra fitting cost — so Elacin Relax sleep plugs and Elacin Swim plugs are $160 a pair when you add them to your order — a discounted price, reduced from their usual $190 to $295, available only alongside a custom earplug order.
Relax plugs are moulded in the same soft medical grade silicone but made for sleeping — they take the edge off snoring, traffic and daytime noise so shift workers and light sleepers can rest properly. Swim plugs give a watertight custom seal for swimming, surfing, sailing and water sports, and for anyone prone to ear infections.
Add them at the same time as your earplugs and we will use the same impressions — nothing further is needed from you.

All four Elacin RC filters are independently tested to AS/NZS 1270:2002 (Acoustics — Hearing protectors) by PZT GmbH, Notified Body 1974, Wilhelmshaven, Germany. Choose your filter to suit the noise level you work in.

Because Elacin hearing protection is custom-made to fit your ears, we don't offer standard change-of-mind returns — a custom mould can't be resold. Instead, we stand behind the fit and comfort of every pair. If your earplugs feel uncomfortable, don't seal properly, or need adjusting within 30 days of delivery, contact us at admin@hearsafeaustralia.com.au and we'll arrange a refit, adjustment, or remake at no extra cost.
